Senior Highlight - Nick G.
These are the days…
Meet Nick and be inspired! I got the chance to capture Nick’s senior portraits last Summer. It was a day of rain, storms, and lots of last minute shopping…but the rain parted and we got an amazing session in. I have known Nick his whole life, he is my great nephew, and there is something about the space you share with him-there is an “old soul” appeal to him. Don’t get me wrong he is also a lot of fun, and willing to try just about anything to get a good shot! Speaking of shot…did I mention he is a spectacular basketball player? Edge of your seat type of plays…not to mention he has the height to make the shots we all dream of. I took the time to ask Nick some fun questions and I invite you all to read and learn a little more about him below.
Q: If you could sit and chat with anyone (alive or not) who would it be? What would you ask them?
A: “Casper Glatfelter, my 9th Great Grandfather. I would ask him what he wanted for his future generations, and what he wanted us to accomplish…even though he was born in the 1700’s”.
Q: What’s next for you after graduation?
A: “Next for me is hopefully going to the East Coast, mainly PA, to play college basketball and major in business administration”. (spoiler alert he is DOING JUST THAT and going to Central Penn College!
Q: What is a highlight of both freshman and senior year for you?
A: “Freshman year was playing baseball and having no stress in the world because of how free I could play and how easy schoolwork was. Senior year it was winning the state championship and all of the stress and hard work I had put in through the season being for something bigger than myself”.
Q: Is there something you want to say to whomever that has been your biggest support through your life and/pr passion?
A: “Thank you Mom and Dad for all the hours of annoyance with driving me to practices an hour away, having late night shootarounds with me, making dinner at 8:00 pm after a long day at work, getting laundry done that needs to be done by tomorrow morning. Thank you for your hard work and persistence to help me get to where I am today”.
Q: Send that best suits who you are and where you’re going?
A: “Eulogy-Kyle Dixon, Michael Stein…because it represents a feeling of nostalgia and just memories”.
Good Luck Nick, we all look forward to seeing where your talents and passion take you!
